The Dallas Cowboys Baby!
My friend Justine is going to be an aunt very soon! Her soon to be nephew Connor's room is going to have a Dallas Cowboy's theme to it so I figured it would only be appropriate for his diaper cake to contain the same theme! This was my first little boy diaper cake and I had such a fun time creating it!

So Lydi Wanted a Lamp. . .
Sam's 6th birthday is coming up and we always get the other child a little something when one has a birthday! Lydi wanted a lamp for her new Avengers room. I looked online and saw they were quite expensive so I decided I was going to make one myself. I ordered some fabric off of Etsy for $12.00 and grabbed an old lamp from my college days that had cost me $2.00 and painted it all up and here we have it, a $14.00 Avengers lamp. I can't wait to give it to her tomorrow!

Jana's Baby Cake
A good friend and co-worker is having a baby girl!! She was given a baby shower at work and I offered to create a diaper cake for the center piece. I knew she was doing the room is yellows and grey so I wanted to use that as my color palette. I really enjoy personalizing the cake as much as possible so I wanted to use her baby's initial. I really wanted this cake to be different from all of my bright colored cakes so I decided to wrap the initial in twine then add rosette embellishments and pearls to almost give it a vintage feel, however when all was said and done I needed to add one more color to brighten it up just a little bit. Knowing Jana's favorite color is green I had to add some green to the cake! Here is how it turned out...!
Her finished cake! I did notice how one flower had fell down so I fixed it after I was done taking pictures!
My first wrapped initial, I need more practice but it didn't turn out too bad! :)

...Not just for little girls!
I have been making hair bows for almost a year now... and finally found a use for one for my 25 year old self. I was recently trying to think of a way for my 8 year old cousin who is a little Asian tom boy with short hair to wear something in her hair. I decided to make her a soccer clip. I just took some soccer ribbon and hot glued it to a alligator clip. Her little sister is playing soccer so I decided she just might wear one to her game! Well, as we were all getting ready for the game Lydia (my cousin) decided against wearing the clip, so I threw it in my own hair. The teams colors are red and black so I dressed in her colors and even sported a matching hair clip. I also made sam 6 different soccer bows for her pigtails that had to have the french barrette on them because "I might run to fast for the other cliplies LuLu"

Little Letters
Once again I have been bit by the Pinterest bug and fell in love with creating girly little frames with initials in them. They were SO inexpensive to make. I purchased a $3 frame from Dollar General and then went to hobby lobby for sparkly paper and an initial or two which cost about a $1.50. I had the tulle and jewels already so really this was just something fun for me to make for a couple girly girls to display in their bedroom.
Some of the Letters, with the edges painted ready to go
The finished product! I had so much fun making these and like I said it was so inexpensive!!
